The Carvel Property Development is a recreation-oriented second-home community centered around Lake Carvel. The proposed master plan has been reconfigured to meet the requirements of the New Neighborhood Development (NND) provision in the Town of Pine Plains' adopted zoning law and to respond to the SEQR comments and community discussion to date. Once approved, the community will be developed slowly over a period of several years.
The NND Zone Petition has now been submitted.
After months of hard work and refinement following the NND Pre-Application meeting on March 16, 2010, the Carvel Property Development team submitted the NND Application to Town of Pine Plains on December 21, 2011.
